Wilde Beer is a Newcastle owned, gluten free, preservative free and vegan beer. The company has just recently launched their raspberry pale ale as a tart, refreshing alternative to their classic pale ale flavour.
This beer is not just for gluten free folks though, the taste is fantastic, unlike any other gluten free beer I've tried. I also enjoy that it isn't as heavy, or gassy as regular beer and the flavour is mild. Wilde is an all around a great, sessionable beer.
The pale ale is light, with citrus flavours and a very light head, at 4.5% it's a full strength beer. The new raspberry flavour was the real surprise to me. Brewed with real raspberries this beer is not sweet but still retains the real raspberry flavour, still has the characteristics of a pale ale and is a mid strength beer. Out of the two beers this is the one I'll be coming back to time and again.
Both brews are fantastic, I would recommend trying them to any beer lover, not just coeliacs or gluten intolerant people.
